Chris Sutton has savagely trolled Rangers striker Fabio Silva after his horror miss against Hearts in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

The Parkhead hero previously slammed Silva for the "embarrassing" penalty against Celtic as he claimed the striker had thrown himself to the ground.

And Sutton referenced his previous remarks on the striker as he poked fun at Silva over his miss with the goal at his mercy at Hampden.

The Wolves loanee had the ball cut back to his feet in the box but inexplicably tripped and fell over the ball as he looked to take aim.

Sutton remarked: "People who say Silva dived here are biased… that’s a penalty"

On the penalty at Ibrox, Sutton commented: "He's been an embarrassment. Throwing himself around all afternoon. It's really good to see. That's called cheating. John Beaton quite right to give him the yellow card.

"He's already on his way down. This would be an embarrassment."

The Celtic hero then added: "This would be embarrassing if he awarded a penalty. He's already on his way down. You shouldn't be rewarded for cheating.

"There has to be sufficient contact. Is this a clear and obvious error? Of course it isn't.

"It's an embarrassing climb down from John Beaton. It really is. Dear me."
