The prospect of another Rangers vs Celtic game does NOTHING to whet the appetite of football fans in England.

That's because they feel Glasgow's big two faces each other what feels like 'every week'.

Radio host Jeff Stelling provided his point of view when discussing the upcoming Scottish Cup final between Rangers and Celtic on talkSPORT early this morning.

The teams will meet in the season finale on Saturday, May 25, as the sides battle it out for the final silverware of the campaign.

Rangers are still in pursuit of the treble, with the league title still up for grabs as well as the cup. For the Hoops, they'll have a league and cup double firmly in their sights.

Believe it or not, it'll be the first Scottish Cup final between the pair since 2002 amazingly.

And former Sky Sports anchor Stelling found this hard to believe, as he took a cheap pot-shot at Scottish football.

Interrupting the conversation about the Scottish game between McCoist and Shebahn Ahern, Stelling said: "Have they played each other a lot in the semi-finals? So that's why they're not getting to the final, because they're knocking each other out before then.

"For God's sake, every English football fan will be thinking 'Rangers against Celtic? There's a surprise!' Why don't they just play each other every week? Forget the rest"

McCoist hit back, saying: "Jeff, I have to inform you that we up here don't give a monkey's what every English football fan thinks"

"Yesterday's game was a good one, Rangers vs Hearts. The one on Saturday, what a game by the way. Celtic-Aberdeen, a brilliant game to watch, finished 3-3, Celtic won on penalties. What a game of football."

And Ahern had the final word as the seemingly Celtic-daft pundit chimed in: "Come on the Bhoys! We'll end it on that..."
