A Celtic-daft actor has revealed what he thinks of Brendan Rodgers and the club's title hopes.

Tony Curran said he still believes in the Hoops gaffer, despite a rather inconsistent run for Celtic and with rivals Rangers now in the top spot of the Scottish Premier League.

The Mayflies star spoke about his beloved team in a recent interview as he promotes the upcoming NOW historical drama series Mary and George.

When presenter Joe Baggs asked if he thinks Celtic will manage to win the title, Tony answered: "Rangers are obviously playing quite well and they've got this new manager who's come in.

"But I have to say, in Brendan we trust, you know.

"We've got Cameron Carter-Vickers coming back, who's a big defender for us, and we've got this young guy, Adam Idah, an Irish international who just came from Norwich.

"So yeah, I have to believe, you know, I have to believe."

Tony also mentioned that he was snapped wearing a Celtic top while getting hair and make-up done for the new series, in which he plays King James I.
