JURORS in the Emma Caldwell murder trial are to return for a fourth day of deliberations in the case.
Iain Packer, 51, faces 36 allegations of physical and sexual violence involving 25 women including the murder of Miss Caldwell at the remote Limefield Woods in Biggar, South Lanarkshire on April 5, 2005.
No verdicts were reached on Tuesday in day 31 of the trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
Lord Beckett sent the jurors home for the evening and they will return on Wednesday for further consideration on the charges.
The women in the case mainly consist of 17 sex workers and others Packer lived with at the time as well as a teenage girl that he allegedly raped.
The charges span between 1990 and 2016.
The trial continues.
