Footballing legend Ally McCoist embarked on a special cycle today in Glasgow.
Joining Endura athlete and professional rider Mikayla Parton and rugby legend Kenny Logan, McCoist cycled on a recreated version of the first-ever pedal cycle from 1839.
It is unknown how many miles exactly Ally completed, but he did the final, honourary leg of the cycle.

With the bike travelling from Thornhill to The Riverside Museum, the special cycle, which was organised by Scottish cyclewear brand Endura in homage to pedal cycle creator Kirkpatrick Macmillan, joins the ongoing UCI Cycling World Championships, taking place in the city.
Noah Bernard, brand director for Endura, said: "It’s an exciting day for a proud Scottish brand like Endura to remind the world of cycling’s very Scottish roots.
"Introducing cycling to the world is a part of the country’s heritage that needs to be celebrated, and that’s what today is all about.
"We’re delighted to have some of our leading athletes and legendary faces from the world of Scottish sport leading the way."
Endura will also work closely with Dumfries Museum, known for exhibiting a late 19th-century replica of Macmillan’s invention created for the 1896 Crystal Palace exhibition.
The curatorial team will lend its expertise and support to the event, with Endura offering the bike post-event to the museum’s “The First Bicycle” exhibition running throughout August.
The exhibition will also feature images of local children with their very own first bicycle, encouraging young locals to visit.

Speaking on the bike's rideability, experienced bicycle manufacturer Steven Shand, who helped build the model, said: "Riding this new replica will certainly be different compared to what Endura’s athletes are used to.
"However, thanks to the innovative nature of the industry that Macmillan kickstarted, we’ve been able to draw upon over 150 years of industry know-how, incorporating one or two modern tweaks to aid rideability."
