A man is due in court after the discovery of potentially hazardous chemicals in a home in Glasgow's East End sparked a huge emergency response.
The 34-year-old has been arrested today after the incident at the flat in Shettleston's Altyre Street on Monday evening.
He has been charged with domestic offences and no further details were provided by police. The force however said they were continuing their investigations.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Detective Inspector Gary Smillie said: “Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and there will be a continued police presence in the area. We continue to work closely with our partners.
“I would like to thank local residents for their patience and co-operation while we continue to deal with this incident.”
The arrest comes after we reported that police officers were given medical treatment at the scene as some 80 people were evacuated from their homes.
Seven police officers and a Scottish Police Authority forensic service staff member took unwell and were treated on site.
A bomb disposal team was called to the incident as police cordoned off several streets.
