A driver in Glasgow was charged after police stopped him and noticed a "dangerous leak".

A 35-year-old was stopped on the M74 in the Daldowie area and pulled over by Glasgow Road Policing officers.

The stop took place at 9.30pm on Saturday, June 17.

On Twitter, they said: "Glasgow Road Policing stopped this car on the M74 for a visible suspension defect.

"On further examination, a dangerous fuel leak was discovered.

"The cause soon became obvious.

"He was charged, reported, his vehicle prohibited.

"The advice is simple: don't risk it."
