A woman who lashed out at a dentist holding a needle has a warrant out for her arrest.

Samantha Dolan, 36, seized Janice Baxter by the body at Kelvin Smile Centre in Glasgow’s Maryhill on October 18 2021.

Court papers state that Dolan behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at the practice.

The charge says Dolan acted in an aggressive manner towards Miss Baxter and a Julie Watkins.

She went on to repeatedly shout, swear and refused to leave the premises despite requests to do so.

Dolan then seized Miss Baxter on the body when she was holding an uncapped needle.

Dolan pleaded guilty last month at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the single charge.

She was due to be sentenced on Wednesday but was not in attendance.

Her lawyer told the court: “She called last night saying she has a viral infection - I have no vouching for that.”

The court was also told that Dolan, of Maryhill, did not appear at an appointment for her pre-sentencing background reports.

Sheriff Kevin McCarron granted a warrant for her arrest.

He said: “These are serious matters - failure to answer the phone and failing to do anything means I have to grant a warrant.”
