THE main entrance to a hospital in Glasgow has been closed after a broken door caused "temperature control issues".
The entrance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) has been temporarily closed due to a problem with the revolving door which caused temperature troubles amid sub-zero conditions across the city.
Visitors to the hospital are currently being redirected to use an entrance at the Royal Hospital for Children, with volunteers giving directions to anyone coming to the adult hospital.

A spokesperson for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) said: "Our facilities team are redirecting staff and visitors through an alternative door close by at the Royal Hospital for Children while we fix a problem with the revolving doors at the main entrance to the QEUH.
"The door issue has led to local temperature control challenges in the immediate vicinity so we have closed them temporarily.
"In the meantime, we have stationed volunteers within the RCH to help provide direction to anyone coming into the adult hospital.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank staff and the public for their patience during this time."
