Scotrail is urging passengers in Glasgow to find alternative travel arrangements as several services to and from the city have been cancelled in the aftermath of stomer Corrie.

The company tweeted that it is still completing safety checks after high winds and rain battered Scotland over the weekend.

As a result, several routes are still closed following country-wide cancellations on Sunday evening.

The statement read: "After the storm, @NetworkRailSCOT will have to complete safety checks on some routes before we can open them back up for passenger services. Some of these routes are already complete but some can only be done in daylight.

"Due to very limited replacement transport being secured, passengers are advised to consider making their own alternative arrangements this morning."

The Scotrail website is reporting routes between Glasgow Central and East Kilbride and Glasgow Central and Stranraer are still closed on Monday morning.

The services to Aberdeen and Inverness are undergoing changes.

The firm is encouraging customers to check its website for updates and replacement buses.
