A CHILD poses a question that no journalist would ever dream of asking, namely what is the weirdest face Lauren Mayberry of Glasgow pop band Chvrches can make.
And the singer not just tells her, but duly obliges in a less than flattering demonstration.
"My sister and I made that up when we were kids and she put in the nose bit, which I think is the most disgusting bit," she explains.
It has all been done in the name of Kids Interview Bands, a US website launched in August 2012, to do precisely what it says on the tin.
Ms Mayberry decided to pull her strange face while being quizzed by fourth grader Piper prior to a band performance in Columbus, Ohio.
Had a lovely chat with Lauren and didn't even realize it was her birthday! Happy birthday Lauren! @CHVRCHES pic.twitter.com/BBBOtfXAdM

The 27-year-old Scot was also asked if recording an album for kids, what would the album be called?
Piper laughs as the singer plumps for Sometimes I Eat Things Off The Floor, and Other Stories.
Mayberry adds: "Do you ever do that when you drop it,and you're like, it's not been that long, I can still take it. Just dust it off. Especially if it's sweets. If it's sweeties I am like...awww."
The band have described the chat as the "best interview" the singer has ever completed.
Chvrches – which she formed with electro-indie stalwarts Iain Cook and Martin Doherty in 2011 – released their new album Every Open Eye last week.
