FIREBUGS torched high end cars in a plush conservation village in East Renfrewshire.
Detective at Giffnock are appealing for information after three vehicles were set on fire in a driveway in Eaglesham on Wednesday.
Three homes had to be evacuated but no one was injured.
Police were called to reports of a fire in Cheapside Street at around 9.15pm.
The vehicles involved were a Citroen Berlingo, Audi A3 and Citroen C4. Officers are treating the incident as wilful fireraising and are studying CCTV images of the scene.
Detective Constable Craig Faskin of Giffnock Police Office said: “Enquiries are continuing today in relation to this incident which is being treated as wilful fireraising.
"Officers are currently checking CCTV footage in and around the local area in an effort to gather more information on who is responsible for this crime.
“If you saw someone acting suspiciously, or have any information that may assist the police investigation please contact Police Scotland on 101."
