MSPs have hailed Glasgow as one of the world's top sporting cities after it was shortlisted in the SportsBusiness Ultimate Sports City awards.
James Dornan, SNP MSP for Cathcart, above, said the city can be proud of reaching the list of 25 and he lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament, backed by 16 other MSPs.
The results of the internationally recognised rankings will be announced in Quebec next month.
